Lions Club Flag Project Committee pens thank-you to all who contributed to the project

The Lions Club flag project has been a long time coming, with hours of volunteerism, patience and perseverance.  A great big thank you to Mark Carrigan for digging the hole for the placement of the flag pole.  Warren Camp and Hans Frederick spent hours “consulting” with us along the way. Cory Daniels and his crew placed the personalized bricks around the base of the flag.  Keith Nidey of Electra Pro installed the lights for the flag.  A special thank you goes out to Prowers County Commissioners and staff for embracing and encouraging our project.   The committee members consist of the Lions Club members pictured above, as well as Leslie Stagner representing Colorado Welcome Center, Connie Jacobsen representing Zonta, and Judy Turpin representing Lamar Rotary.  Not pictured is Lion John Davis who took the picture.  Folks – he was the glue in the project.  Yes, it takes a team, but he was on fire from the get-go.  The committee is still very active.  If you would like to purchase a commemorative brick, contact one of the above-mentioned volunteers.  Take a stroll down main street, stop by to visit our flag, and thank you Prowers County supporters!
