William “Bill” Potestio – December 4, 1949 – April 29, 2026

A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident William Potestio, affectionately known to his family and friends as Bill will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 11:00AM at the Lamar Christian Church with Ian Blacker officiating. Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 1:30PM on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO.

Visitation for Bill will be held from 9:00AM until 11:00AM prior to the service on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at the Lamar Christian Church.

Bill was born on December 4, 1949 in Pueblo, Colorado to Emilio Marion “Millie” and Eva Olivia Giovanna “Jennie” (Martella) Potestio and passed away on April 29, 2026 at Memorial Central Hospital with his family by his side at the age of 76. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Eugene Potestio, Eleanor Aberton, Gloria Zeman, Danny Potestio and Louise Schauer. Bill is survived by his wife Diana Potestio of the family home in Lamar, CO, daughters Brandi (Daniel) Potestio-Cunningham of Westminster, CO, Billie Vannoy of Fort Collins, CO, Brittini (Bill) McKinney of New City, NY, BriAnna Potestio of Fort Collins, CO; step-sons, Adrian (Kirsten) Trim of Woodrow, CO, Matthew (Brenna) Trim of Arvada, CO and Nicholas (Missey) Trim of Woodrow, CO, grandchildren, Malachi Scott, Austin Vannoy, JenniferVannoy, Sophia McKinney and Ava McKinney, step-grandchildren Caden Trim, Hunter Trim,  Brady Trim, Belicia Trim, Jerrica Trim, Christian Trim, Ryen Trim, Loren Trim and Hazel Trim and great-grandchildren Adrien Vannoy and Lila Vannoy. He is also survived by his siblings Eddie Potestio, Alberta Consonero and Emily (Butch) Hughes all of Pueblo, Colorado as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Prowers County Veteran’s Service Office either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
