Lamar RE-2 Launches Athletic Review Committee Overview to Strengthen Culture of Excellence in School Athletics

Lamar, CO – June 10, 2025 – The Lamar School District RE-2 is proud to release a new one-page overview outlining the purpose, priorities, and goals of the district’s Athletic Review Committee (ARC). This committee plays a vital role in supporting student-athletes, coaches, families, and community members by promoting excellence, equity, and sportsmanship across all athletic programs.
The ARC serves as a collaborative body focused on:
- Supporting quality coaching and student development
- Promoting a shared culture of high expectations and respect
- Ensuring athletic programs reflect the values of Lamar RE-2’s Portrait of a Graduate
“This committee is about more than wins and losses,” said Superintendent Dr. Chad Krug. “It’s about building a system where our athletic programs support strong character, participation, and a culture that helps students thrive both on and off the field.”
