Cleva Bourne…November 12, 1928 – December 9, 2020

A Memorial Service for Las Animas, Colorado resident, Cleva Bourne will be held at a later date and inurnment will take place in the Bent/Las Animas Cemetery. Per Cleva’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.

Cleva (Mosby) Bourne passed away on December 9, 2020 at the Bent County Health Care Center in Las Animas, Colorado at the age of 92. She was born on November 12, 1928 in Dennis, Oklahoma to Henry Houston and Alta Blanch (Dickson) Mosby.

Cleva grew up in Miami, Oklahoma where she graduated from high school before moving to Colorado. She was united in marriage to Merle Duane Bourne and this union was blessed with two children, Steven and Duana.

Cleva was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and an inactive member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

Cleva is survived by her children, Steve (Cindy) Bourne and Duana Bourne of Las Animas, Colorado; sister, Anita Sherman; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, H. Houston and Alta Blanche Mosby; beloved husband, Merle Duane Bourne; sisters, Reva May Stoner and Alta Lenola Mosby; brother, H. Marland Mosby.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Arkansas Valley Hospice in care of Horber Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 431, Las Animas, Colorado, 81054.
