Katherine Jamnik…November 20, 1982 – October 27, 2019

Mass of Christian Burial for Katherine Jamnik will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Las Animas, Colorado with Father Henry Wertin officiating. Rosary will be held prior to the Mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment will take place in Bent/Las Animas Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Horber Funeral Chapel.

Katherine Lee Jamnik was born on November 20, 1982 in Las Animas, Colorado to William Sr. and Rebecca (Muniz) Jamnik. She passed away on October 27, 2019 at her home in Las Animas, Colorado at the age of 36.

Katherine grew up in Las Animas, Colorado. She attended and graduated from the Las Animas schools. Katherine then graduated from the OJC in 2005 with an Associate of Applied Science with an emphasis in Nursing Degree. Following graduation, she worked at several area nursing facilities. When her mother’s health began to decline Katherine became a home healthcare nurse for her mother.

She is survived by her mother, Rebecca Jamnik; sisters, Jennifer Jamnik and Brenda Jamnik; brother, Adrian Jamnik; half-brother, William T. Jamnik Jr.; uncle, James Muniz; many other relatives and a host of friends.

Katherine was preceded in death by her father, William T. Jamnik Sr.
