Larry Pacheco…December 1, 1947 – June 18, 2019

Larry Pacheco passed away on June 18, 2019 at his home in Lamar, Colorado at the age of 71. He was born on December 1, 1947 to Joseph Sr. and Mary (Marquez) Pacheco.

Joseph Larry Pacheco, Jr., affectionately known to most as Larry, grew up in the Gardner and Walsenburg communities. He worked various jobs as a laborer before becoming a police officer in Walsenburg from 1975 until 1983.  He then worked on the oil rigs for several years as well as various pig farms until retirement.  Larry enjoyed working on vehicles and was very talented when it came to mechanical work.

Larry is survived by his daughters, Renee Pacheco of Lamar, Colorado and Roxanne Pacheco of Utah; son, James Sam Pacheco of Lamar, Colorado; grandchildren, Michael J. Pacheco, Kenny Thomas, Roxanne Armijo, and Landen Pacheco; and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Larry D. Pacheco; and grandparents, Samuel and Vironica Pacheco.
