Everett (Pete) Gordon Rogers of Dona Ana, New Mexico passed away May 28, 2019 surrounded by his family. Pete was born January 16, 1942 on a farm outside of Pretty Prairie, Kansas to Gail Noble and Jesse Leota (Miller) Rogers. He graduated from Lamar High School, Lamar Colorado, 1960. and served 4 years in the Army, stationed in Germany. After coming back to Lamar he met Clare Louella La Cost and they were married February 1, 1969. He is preceded in death by both his parents, his brother Jim Rogers, his sister Jo Ann Rife. He is survived by his sister Lavonne Ralstin, sister-in-law Charlotte Rogers, his wife of 50 years Clare, three children, Kevin, Greta and Gail, four grandchildren, Kaye-Lani, Jesse, Carley, and Bryan as well as several nieces and nephews.
Born with a wrench in his hand he started his own business in the valley around Las Cruces called Rogers’ Equipment repair. He was a certified John Deere Mechanic and took great pride in all that he did. His presence will be missed in the farming community from Anthony to the Hatch valley. Memorial can be made in his name to charities of your choice.
