The 28th Annual Granada/Bristol Days activities have been set for Friday and Saturday, June 14th and 15th beginning with the Friday Alumni-Community Co-ed Wiffleball match-up at 6pm at the Granada Ball Field. Cost is $5 per player and the Granada Rec Department will handle the concessions.
Many of the traditional favorites from year’s past will be offered including the 7am Amache Run/Walk on Saturday morning with the start from the Post Office. Through the day, there will be music, a bouncy house, games and prizes at the town park with free prize give-aways every half hour.
Entries for the annual 10am parade will line up at the Granada School parking lot and folks will gather at 11am for the Frog and Turtle Race. Argie’s Famous Flyover will be held at 1pm and the Bristol/Granada Fire Department will provide a ‘cool down’ for folks who may have gotten too much sun. The Cornhole Tournament begins at 1pm with a $20 team entry fee and a chance to win prizes donated by J & S Graphic Designs. The T-Ball Exhibition Game starts at 2pm and from 9am to 4pm vendors will be on hand at the park with food booths and various activities for the family.
The day will wrap up with the Granada Alumni Reception and Banquet and an open air dance will run from 8pm to 11pm with music provided by Butch Buchanan. Contact Jerene DeBono at 688-0432 or Chela Marquez at 688-8323 for more information.
