Leo Willhite…May 23, 1939 – May 9, 2019

Funeral Services for Holly, Colorado resident, Leo Willhite will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the United Methodist Church in Holly, Colorado with Pastor Eugene Birt officiating. Interment will follow in the Holly Cemetery.  Per Leo’s request, there will be no visitation.

Leo Andrew Willhite was born on May 23, 1939 in Lodi, California to Howard A. and Rachel Jean (Briscoe) Willhite. He passed away on May 9, 2019 at his home with his family by his side at the age of 79.

Leo is survived by his wife, Barbara (Michel) Willhite; mother, Jean Willhite; daughters, Carrie (Pat) Shafer, Dee Ann (Louie) Torrez, Kelly (Larry) Sitts, Sherrie Brownfield, and Jackie Simmons; son, Johnnie (JoAnn) Lyons; sisters, Doris Richards, Patsy (Boyce) Ocoy and Janis Shoemaker; son-in-law, Tom Brownfield; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Willhite; twin granddaughters, Karena Jane and Karen Janet Schale; brothers-in-law, Edward Richards Sr. and Ron Shoemaker.
