A Graveside service for David Gribble will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday May 20th, 2016 at Fort Lyon National Cemetery in Las Animas, Colorado. Pastor Steven Anderson will officiate.  Military committal rites will be provided by American Legion Post #9 of La Junta, Colorado.

David Gale Gribble was born on February 22, 1935 in Olney Springs, Colorado to Willis Martin and Marguerite (Burrell) Gribble and passed away on May 16, 2016 in Las Animas, Colorado at the age of 81.

David was a loving father and grandfather to his seven children, 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren with a great sense of humor. He was extremely creative and that showed in his gardening, woodworking, and love for building virtually anything. A very talented musician, David played both the guitar and the dobro. At one time, he performed throughout the Arkansas Valley as a member of the Valley Riders. He thoroughly enjoyed his music and the ability to share it with others, and his loved ones.

David is survived by his companion, Sandee Foulk; children, Charlotte (Randy) Wilder of Canon City, Colorado, Celestia (Rodney) Pruett of Florence, Colorado, Trisha (Zuki) Galindo of Las Animas, Colorado, Tasha Moore of Oklahoma, C. David Gribble of Las Animas, Colorado, Cecil (Misty) Gribble of Canon City, Colorado, Lester (Lisa) Gribble of Canon City, Colorado; twenty-two grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis Martin and Marguerite (Burrell) Gribble; brothers, Jim, George, and Milton; and sisters, Clara and Marie.
