Prowers Medical Center Closing Parking Lot for Construction Activity

The facility expansion project continues at Prowers Medical Center.
On Friday, April 29th, Parking Lot A – located on the south side of the hospital’s main entrance – will be closed due to the assembly of a large crane. The crane will be operating to lift and place a large air handling unit (AHU) on the roof of the main building as a part of our efforts to enhance our HVAC system in the hospital.
Our Facilities Management Team and Construction Crews will begin the set-up of fencing around the restricted area on the evening of Thursday, April 28th in preparation for the crane’s arrival. For your safety, we ask that all visitors to our hospital campus heed all warning notices and avoid the restricted areas beginning the evening of Thursday, April 28th through 12:00 Noon on Sunday, May 1st. During this operational process, vehicle access to the area will be closed. Any vehicles found within the restricted area will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Weather permitting, the installation process will be completed during the above estimated timeframes and all entrances leading into the main parking lot will be re-opened.
Please park in other parking lots located on the hospital campus. Vehicle access will be available in Parking Lot B – located just south of our Rehabilitation Services Department – and in Parking Lot C – located on the east side of our Prowers Medical Group clinic. Hospital staff will be on-site throughout the weekend to safely direct visitors and help them gain entrance into our buildings.
Over the course of the remainder of the project, you will notice various activities related to the re-routing of foot traffic and parking. As we work to complete sidewalk connections and surfaces in our parking lots, we will take extra precautions to safely redirect our guests in order to reach their destinations.
Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation as we progress with our expansion project.
