On Wednesday, March 30, Lady Lope Taryn Frazier signed her letter of intent to play at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, Kansas.

Frazier is a 6-0 forward from Colorado Springs, Colorado.  She will graduate this spring with an Associate of Arts and currently serves as the Vice President of LCC’s Phi Theta Kappa chapter.

Coach Tom Sutherland praised Frazier’s efforts on the court and in the classroom, stating, “I’m especially pleased for Taryn because she’s worked very hard for this next opportunity.  I think Kansas Wesleyan is a great fit for her.  It’s a small school with high academic standards; this is a program that will give Taryn the opportunity to excel on and off the court.”

Frazier was an integral part of the Lady Lopes team this year, scoring an average of 11 points a game.  She also brought in an average of 6.5 rebounds per game, placing her in the top ten in the Region IX South division.

“We are very excited to get Taryn as part of our program,” remarked Kansas Wesleyan Head Coach Ryan Showman.  “Athletically, she meets an important need in an important position for us.  We know that she can come in on day one and perform immediately for our team.  Academically, she is a high achieving student, which meets the standard for our team.  And we know she fits in well with our team dynamic.  She really is the total package.  I think she’s excited and wants to be a part of program and we are very excited to have her.”
