The McClave School District held a “topping out” ceremony on June 30th to celebrate the progress of construction of their new school building.
A tradition rooted in construction history, a “topping out” ceremony is a builders’ rite held when the final structural beam is placed at the highest point of a building. This milestone signifies the completion of the structure’s framework, celebrates the collaboration of the project team, and honors the dedication of the construction crew. This landmark event serves a dual purpose for the district: celebrating 100 years of educational excellence in the community while laying the foundation for the next century of learning.
McClave’s new, state-of-the-art facility is made possible through the generous support of the Building Excellent Schools Today (BEST) grant program. The project brings together a premier team, featuring Nunn Construction as the General Contractor and Wold Architects & Engineers leading the design.
During the event, McClave School District administration and members of the School Board signed the final structural beam before it is hoisted into place, cementing their place in the school’s history.
