LAMAR, Colo. — As wildfires continue to impact communities across Southern Colorado and throughout the state, the City of Lamar is encouraging residents, businesses, and community partners to support relief efforts for families affected by these devastating fires.
The City of Lamar has partnered with the United Way of Southern Colorado to launch a dedicated donation page supporting the Southern Colorado Wildfire Relief Fund. Contributions made through this page will help provide emergency housing, food assistance, and long‑term recovery support for displaced families.
“Our hearts are with the families who have been displaced, the communities facing loss, and the first responders working on the frontlines,” said City of Lamar Mayor Kirk Crespin. “Lamar understands the importance of neighbors helping neighbors, and this relief effort gives our community a trusted and direct way to make a difference.”
If you are looking for a reliable way to help families affected by these fires, this is it. 100% of your donation goes directly toward emergency housing, food, and long‑term recovery assistance. Whether you can give $5, $50, or simply share the donation link, every bit of support matters.
The City of Lamar encourages anyone able to contribute to donate directly to the Southern Colorado Wildfire Relief Fund at: https://www.unitedwaysoco.org/lamarwildfirerelief
Community members are also encouraged to share the link and continue supporting those impacted by the fires.
