Nicasio Silerio – April 12, 1949 – April 10, 2026

A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident Nicasio Silerio will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Rafael Martinez officiating. Visitation for Nicasio will be held from 2:00PM until 7:00PM on Monday, April 13, 2026 at the Peacock Family Chapel.

Nicasio was born on April 12, 1949 at San Antonio, Rodeo, Durango, Mexico to Tomasa Silerio and passed away on April 10, 2026 at his home with his family by his side at the age of 76. He is preceded in death by his mother Tomasa, his wife Josefina Silerio, son Rolando Silerio and daughter Rosi Silerio. Nicasio is survived by his children Ruben (Idalia) Silerio of Johnson City, KS and Ruth (Antonio) Ortiz of Lamar, CO grandchildren Libna Alanis, Abdiel Silerio, Zujey Silva, Adilenne Gonzalez, Ari Silerio, Yajahyra Gomez and Josue and Caleb Ortiz. He is also survived by three great-granddaughters numerous cousins, other family and a host of friends.
