On September 10, 2018 at approximately 1350 hours, Deputies were dispatched to the 100 Block of South Main in Holly, on a report of an armed robbery involving a weapon. Deputies were informed the suspect was wearing a mask at the time and had fled the business southbound and on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. Deputies contacted the store employees and through the initial questioning, a person of interest was identified. Deputies began searching the area and located evidence near the alley.

Deputies later located the person of interest who gave consent to search their apartment. While in contact with the person of interest deputies observed evidence implicating the person of interest. Deputies detained the party at that time due to a weapon being involved. No other items of evidence were found in the apartment.

Deputies began a more detailed search of the outer premises based on the manager’s consent. Deputies located additional evidence implicating the person of interest. Deputies were unable to locate a weapon or the money taken from the store.

After the initial investigation was completed and other evidence was found, Deputies arrested the person of interest, Ethan Mason, on charges of Aggravated Robbery and Theft. Mason is being held at Prowers County Jail on a $20,000 bond.

The investigation is still ongoing. If anybody feels they may have relevant information about this case, please contact the Prowers County Sheriff’s Office.
