Craig Loveless Receiving Seven Seals Award at PMC

(Lamar, CO) January 9, 2018 –

Prowers Medical Center recognizes the importance of providing full support of the men and women who serve our country in the National Guard and Reserve. On Tuesday, January 9, 2018, Craig R. Loveless, CEO of Prowers Medical Center was the proud recipient of the Seven Seals Award – the broadest and most exclusive award given by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR).  This award is presented at the discretion of the State Chair or by ESGR senior leadership.

The presentation ceremony was conducted by Mark Lilevjen, Chairman, Colorado State Committee of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.

Dr. James Smith, General Surgeon with Prowers Medical Center nominated Mr. Loveless for this award in recognition of the ongoing support he has been given during his last three (3) deployments to Afghanistan and Honduras. Three (3) years ago, Craig Loveless was awarded the Patriot Award following a nomination by Dr. Smith.  The Seven Seals Award is just the next step in recognition of the demonstrated support offered to Dr. Smith during his deployments.

With each deployment, the hospital has diligently pursued the assistance of temporary surgeons to help ensure the Hospital was able to provide surgical coverage during his absence. The unqualified support of Mr. Loveless, the Prowers Medical Center Board of Directors and Staff for Dr. Smith to leave the Hospital to perform life-saving surgeries on wounded soldiers is a mere example of the tremendous support shown to our Team Members in their individual pursuit of personal goals and accomplishments.

The Seven Seals award ceremony was held in the Front Lobby of Prowers Medical Center with hospital Team Members, Medical Staff, community dignitaries, and local media in attendance.
