Ernest Robert Seamon…July 22, 1924 – December 22, 2017

 

A Mass of Christian Burial for Ernest Robert Seamon will be held at 10am on Wednesday December 27, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Las Animas, Colorado with Father Henry Wertin officiating. Interment will follow in the Bent/Las Animas Cemetery.  A Rosary/Scripture Service will be held at 9:30am prior to the Mass.

Ernest “Bob” Seamon passed away at his home in Pueblo, Colorado on December 22, 2017 at the age of 93. He was born on July 22, 1924 in Las Animas, Colorado to Ernest Charles and Laura Louise (McClean) Seamon.  He graduated from Bent County High School. Bob proudly served in the Navy during WWII as a lab tech in the Mediterranean. He attended Colorado University in Boulder.  Bob raised his three sons in Las Animas and then was able to help raise another family. Bob spent his career at Fort Lyon VA Hospital until his retirement. He was very dedicated to his family and spent most of his retirement years taking care of his beloved mother, Laura. He lived in his family home until he fell and needed to live with family in Pueblo. His last six years were spent with his sons in Pueblo. He lived a full and happy life, always giving to those in need and was a man of deep faith in Jesus Christ. We are so happy to have been a part of his life.

Bob was preceded in death by his father Ernest; mother, Laura; and son, Douglas.

He is survived by his brother, Joseph (Clara) Seamon; sons, Frank (Kimberly) Seamon and David (Susan) Seamon; daughter-in -law, Deborah; grandchildren, Gabriel, Jessica, and Willem; great grandson, Nicholas; as well as many nieces and nephews.
