Canyons & Plains Regional Meeting in Las Animas, Colorado

Canyons & Plains of Southeast Colorado will hold its regional meeting on Thursday, September 7th, at Carmen’s Restaurant, 625 Carson Avenue in Las Animas at 10:00 a.m.  The presentation will be on Boggsville, given by Larry Bourne, and will feature the upcoming Boggsville Days on October 14th.  The Board of Directors meeting will follow the Regional meeting.
Canyons & Plains (formerly know as Southeast Regional Heritage Task Force) is a heritage tourism development organization.  Formed in 2003, C&P serves seven counties – Baca, Bent, Crowley, Kiowa, Otero, Prowers, and eastern Las Animas.  The non-profit group promotes visitation and stewartship of the unique historical, natural and cultural assets of southeastern Colorado among residents, state, national and international audiences.  Since its formation, C&P has garnered over $1 million in funding for projects in this area.
