Loretta Gail Idler…January 30, 1949 – June 9, 2017

A celebration of life for Lamar resident, Loretta Gail Bentley Idler will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Peacock Family Chapel. Graveside services will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.

Visitation for Loretta will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 1:00PM until 7:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.

Loretta was born on January 30, 1949 at Pike County, Kentucky to Willie D. Bentley and Martha Caroline (Damron) Bentley and passed away on June 9, 2017 at her home in Lamar with her family by her side at the age of 68.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jimmy C. and wife Willa of Painsville, KY, Robert Bentley of Lamar, Bennett Bentley of Longmont, CO and MacArthur Bentley of Spring Port, MI, her sisters, Alma (Raymound) Nunnery of Lamar and Lizzie (Bill) Hays of Lamar.

Loretta is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Idler of the family home, sons, Sean David (Tara) Silvey, Shannon Don (Elke) Silvey, Scott Allan Idler and daughter, Amelia Michelle Idler Craig, her loved grandchildren, Hera, Layne, Koy and Rider Silvey, Bailee, Truan, Elsie, Sadie and Grant Kloeppel, Betty and Elenor Craig. She is also survived by her three sisters, Nona (George) Penrod of Rocky Ford, CO, Norma (Arnold) Sneller of Lamar and June (Aubrey) Martin of Lamar, one brother, Kennis Bentley of Lamar, sister-in-law, June Bentley of Lamar, Hattie Bentley of Springport, MI and Inga Bentley of Longmont, CO. As well as her brother-in-law, George (Nancy) Idler and Jim Idler all of Lamar, sister-in-law, Kathleen Marie Idler Shaeffer of Haxton, mother-in-law, Marylin Idler of Lamar who says she never had a cross word with Gail and took many happy walks together. Loretta is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.

Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
