Lamar K9 Dante Places High in Competition

During the week of June 5th-9th Sgt. OJ Pierce and K-9 Dante attended the K9 OTC Summer Seminar and certification conference in Topeka, Kansas. The Seminar was a working seminar where the handler and K9 partner received instruction, practice, and problem solving in Obedience, Tracking, Patrol Work and Controlled Substance Detection.

Upon completion of the week long seminar the handler and K9 are tested and certified. K-9 Dante and Handler Sgt. Pierce also competed against other teams from central and western Kansas as well as Nebraska in Controlled Substance Detection, Tracking, Patrol Work, and Tough Dog. 

K-9 Dante placed first in Tracking and third in Controlled Substance Detection.  K-9 Dante and Sgt. Pierce received their annual certifications in Patrol and Controlled Substance Detection.
