A Memorial Mass for Patricia Griego will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017 at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church in Holly, Colorado.  A Rosary/Scripture service will be held at 9:30 a.m.   Inurnment will take place in the Holly Cemetery in Holly, Colorado.

Patricia Lee (Vandine) Griego was born on May 2, 1947 in Lamar, Colorado to Leida Fay Vandine.  She passed away on April 24, 2017 at Prowers Medical Center in Lamar, Colorado at the age of 69.

Patricia loved spending time with her family and her grandkids.  She enjoyed attending all of their events and never missed them.  She always listened to the Holly Wildcats and the Granada Bobcats sporting events on the radio.  She loved all sports as well as followed the games during the Lamar Holiday Basketball Tournament.  She enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies and never missed the games.  She also loved watching the Voice with her granddaughter.  She enjoyed preparing meals for her family gatherings.  She always made a point to crochet a blanket for her kids as well as her great-grandkids.  When she wasn’t crocheting she enjoyed coloring.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Frank of the family home in Hartman, Colorado; children, Kathy Griego of Hartman, Colorado, Gene (Catherine Weir) Griego of Aurora, Colorado, Delores “Dee Dee” Griego (Rudy Perales) of San Marcos, Texas, Ray (Courtney) Griego of Syracuse, Kansas, and Berna Griego of Granada, Colorado; siblings, Jimmy (Debbie) Huey of Rogers, Arkansas, and Johnny Ray Huey of Liberal, Kansas; 17 grandchildren Shawn (Missy) Griego, Alexus Griego, Monica Pizzaro, Chad Bynum, Joseph Parker, Delicia Perales, Ryan Perales, Chloe Griego-Musick, Lacey Griego-Musick, Lainey Griego, Zoey Griego, Arizona Griego, Gunnar Upton, Pierce Helton, Jessica Griego, Kimberly Griego, and James Griego ; 10 great-grandchildren Gavin Griego, Raegan Griego, Urijah Griego, Jazmine Pizzaro, Janika Pizzaro, Jaydon Pizzaro, Jessie Pizzaro, Javian Pizzaro, Braxtyn Griego-Parker, and Katie Bynum ; and many other friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Leida Fay Vandine; daughter, Rosie Griego; brother, Donald Huey; and grandparents, Daniel and Mary Vandine.
