The Holly Commercial Club is now sporting a logo which can be viewed on their facebook page, according to Jesse Frey from the April monthly meeting. It was suggested that new members be allowed to pay their monthly dues under a payment plan instead of one lump sum. The measure was seconded and approved.
Rod Swisher suggested the sports championship sign to be placed next to the school marquee and to seek input from the Holly School Board for their ideas. Swisher also met with the Holly Trustees during their monthly meeting, asking if any of them would be willing to help serve the Friday evening meal during the approaching Holly Blue Grass Festival. He also mentioned that Club members wear nametags and their respective business affiliation during the BBQ as a way of bringing awareness of some of the community work done by the members of Club. A discussion was also held regarding the purpose and focus of the Holly Commercial Club.
Jackie Leiker suggested taking part in the community clean-up, scheduled for April 29th. Volunteers can meet first at Gateway Park to collect any clean up items. Members received work that the Pedal the Plains event, held in Colorado every two years, would not have Holly on their race route. The next Holly Commercial Club meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 3rd at the United Methodist Church.
