(Lamar, Colorado; December 7, 2016) Lamar Community College’s fall semester is quickly coming to a close and everyone is looking forward to the holidays. The LCC campus will be closed starting Saturday, December 24, 2015, and will reopen on Tuesday, January 3, 2016, so that faculty and staff can spend time with their families.
Certain departments on campus will have additional closures including the Bookstore, Tutoring Lab, Library, and Fitness Center. The Bookstore will be closed starting December 21 and the Library will close on December 22. Both will reopen with the rest of campus on January 3.
The Tutoring Lab will be closed starting December 12 and will reopen again when classes start on January 16. Sunday tutoring will resume that following weekend on January 22.
The Fitness Center will observe their winter break hours December 19 through January 4. Winter break hours are 5:00am to 1:00pm and 5:00pm to 7:00pm Monday through Thursday, 5:00am to 1:00pm on Friday, and 8:00 to 11:00am on Saturday. Registration is currently open for the spring semester at LCC. Individuals interested in registering for courses should plan to come in to campus and meet with an advisor prior to the holiday closure, if possible, or as soon as possible after campus reopens on January 3.
The residence halls and cafeteria will re-open for the spring semester on January 12, with classes scheduled to start on January 16, 2017.
